Well it has been a fun few weeks in the Canary islands. When I arrived and got to hang with the hawaiian/ islander crew for a few days Dub, Jacob, Kona, Jonah, Richie and Moz. I watched the final day of el confital pro and it was good to watch the waves been torn apart by every one espcially the winner Mark Mcarthy he surfed amazing and took the event out in great form. He was even wearing my Hubb Churchill fins en route to his victory, good on yeah boetie. It was a good inspiration on how high the level of riding was. The last ten days I have spent hanging in Galdar with PLC, MOZ and GT just waiting for the wild wild wave fronton event to happen. We had a fun crew of guys all staying with us and have all been surfing a lot and playing games seeing the island ect. So it has been a good trip. The best part of the trip was yesterday when the Contest happened and I won. It was a tough day of competition with heavy waves and crazy gale force side shore winds making the wave dangerous and difficult to surf. I was super relaxed though and had a lot of fun in the water with only 3 other riders out as usually Fronton is packed. I guess it showed and I was able to walk away the winner of this huge IBA specialty event. I really want to thank my wife Heather for helping me recover from my broken rib and back injury 6 weeks ago. As I could not have gotten ready for this event with out her and am so glad she pushed me a to do this event. Thanks babe. So now I am on my way home to spend Christmas with her, so stoked.
Yea Hubby! what injury?! The most dangerous surfer is an injured surfer! 3x world champ coming soon……

Cheers mate
Congratulations Chief, I flew threw HNL a couple of days
ago and picked up the latest BODYBOARD MAG. It makes the long trips
seem worth it. I always look forward to it that’s why I don’t
subscribe, but was thinking. I never see items about a sub-culture
being introduced. You know like latest style, music associated or
fitness tips out of the water. It probably has to do with money,
but as an bodyboard addict myself. I would like to read about these
things an above the influence, I’m the influence please give me a
cure for this flu, Chief. Thanks again if I’m worth it. Happy
Holidays to you and family.
You deserve that win! happy new year champ!
