Sunday was a busy day. With a solid south swell in town I dawn patroled bowls for an hour and scored my fix of deep pits. Then I drove up to country for the pipeline bodysurfing experience. The waves were smallish but still fun. I did some rollos and some belly spin 360s to take 8th place among the world best. Mike Stewart killed it and took home his 20000th pipe victory. In between heats we did a rescue race partners were drawn from a hat and Stephen hong and I stepped up to the gruleing challenge I did the 150 yard run 200 and yard swim out to Stephen gave him the life preserver and we swam in and bodysurfed a wave to the beach and ran back 150 yards to the finish. It was a work out. Some how we beat out the other team and narrowly placed second. I was stoked. (my brother Dave won this event a few years ago).
After my final heat I went out and bodyboarded back door for some cute pits.
It was a super fun Sunday as Heather came down to watch and she brought our puppy cookie too so it was a fun family beach day.
