US open of Bodyboarding

The contest went off over the memorial day weekend. The event ran In 1-3 ft surf. The first 4 rounds of men’s pro and DK ran on Saturday and every one was ripping but David Phillips and dave hubbard had very impressive first round heats busting some technical manuvers in the first round heats. In sunday the amatures and womens went out and a well as the pro and dk finals. The level of riding was so high in both divisions the spectators were stoked and speechless. The judges had a tough job as only 1 point decided the difference from 1st to 4th in the pro. In the end the results were me Jeff hubbard taking 1st place in the Pro and and Jonah romero a close 2nd and Jacob romero 3rd as well as matt byzack in 4th place and wally santy winning the dk and david hubbard in 2nd jeff Bragg in 3rd and ray Machado in 4th .
It was a huge and fun event for all put on by Jason Bitzer and the USBA and event sponsors BZ and Ocean current.

   Solid Jeff! Sounds like the comp was awesome. Cant wait to see more photos and vids on the net.
